Care Net Pregnancy Center of Southern Maryland offers free and confidential unplanned pregnancy services, providing education, support, and professional medical care in Lexington Park, and Prince Frederick, Maryland. As participants complete parenting classes and meet with their mentor, they earn points to spend in the Baby Boutique. Boutique items include brand new clothing, baby equipment and baby supplies.

Motor vehicle crashes are among the leading causes of injuries in young children in Calvert County. Proper use of car safety seats significantly reduces the risk of injury and death.

The Calvert County Health Department offers a low-cost safety seat program that provides convertible and high-back booster seats to families in need.  The program educates participants and teaches them how to properly use car seats. 

To obtain a free child safety seat, you must:

  • Meet income eligibility requirements
