Amy Lawson Director of Technology Services, holds a B.G.S. in General Studies from Northern Arizona University. She was appointed Chief Information Officer and Director of Technology Services in August 2020. Previously, she held leadership roles in the elite Technology Transformation Service at the General Services Administration (GSA) where she focused on user experience (UX), customer experience (CX) and on FedRAMP, the federal government’s cybersecurity framework for cloud platforms. Prior to working at GSA, she served as a Senior Technology Officer for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where she oversaw the modernization of the SEC’s multimillion-dollar primary system. Prior to working at the SEC, she was instrumental in the creation and scalability of E-Verify in U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the system which allows an employer to check if their employees are authorized to work in the U.S. Before her federal service, she led critical technology engagements for Sprint, the American Association for the Advancement of Science and was the global lead for DuPont’s public facing websites. Lawson started her career as an officer in the Air Force and was one of the first women in Air Force Special Operations.
