Calvert County Government announces adjustments to meetings scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, in accordance with federal and state social distancing requirements to slow the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) and limit the number of people infected.The Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) meeting will hold its March 24 meeting at 10 a.m. at the Harriet E. Brown Community Center located at 901 Dares Beach Road in Prince Frederick.
The BOCC will also hold a public hearing at 7 p.m. to consider and receive comments regarding the fiscal year (FY) 2021 staff recommended operating and capital improvement budget at the Harriet E. Brown Community Center. Citizens are encouraged to view the budget in its entirety and learn more about the FY 2021 budget process by visiting www.CalvertCountyMd.gov/FY2021BudgetProcess.
In keeping with social distancing guidelines and to protect the health of citizens and staff, the public is encouraged to participate in the meetings by viewing the live stream on www.CalvertCountyMd.gov. To make certain there is ample time to submit written comment during this unprecedented pandemic, the commissioners have extended the public comment period and will accept written comments up until the Commissioners FY 2021 budget public hearing.
