Calvert County Parks & Recreation to Offer Sensational Seasonal Trips


The Calvert County Department of Parks & Recreation offers a variety of exciting events all year long. Citizens are encouraged to participate in seasonal trips, events and much more held by the Department of Parks & Recreation.

Immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the Big Apple during the New York Shopping and Sightseeing Trip (event number 139225) Saturday, Nov 9 and Dec. 14. Hit the must-see attractions including the Empire State Building, the Statue of Liberty, Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art – then explore off the beaten path with visits to the Cloisters or one of the city's libraries. Indulge in the bohemian shops of the West Village, the fine dining of the Upper West Side or take on the "Style Room" NYC shopping tour. 

Charter bus will depart at 7 a.m. from the Prince Frederick Shopping Center and 7:20 a.m. from the Sunderland Park and Ride. Bus will depart New York City at 6 p.m. No refunds. Cost is $60.50. Pre-registration required.

The annual Radio City Christmas Spectacular Trip Featuring the Rockettes (event number 139668) held Friday, Dec. 6 is a captivating experience that will envelop you and your loved ones in the true meaning of Christmas. There will also be time for shopping and sightseeing on your own. Pick-up locations are the Prince Frederick Shopping Center at 7 a.m. and Mt. Hope Community Center at 7:30 a.m.
