Subdivision Evaluation Group (SEG)


The Subdivision Evaluation Group or SEG reviews proposed subdivisions to ensure that new and existing developments comply with County ordinances and State regulations. SEG members review and provide comments for the proposed and existing subdivisions, replattings, road names, improvement plans, grading and road plans.


SEG Meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of each month (except for November and December, due to the holidays). The meeting begins immediately after the Technical Evaluation Group (TEG) meeting. Meetings are held in the 3rd floor conference room (Planning & Zoning) at

Members who participate in the review of proposed subdivisions include staff from Department of Planning & Zoning, Department of Economic Development, Department of Public Works, Department of Public Safety, Environmental Health, Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative and the Maryland State Highway Administration.
